Outrider's Vehicle Connectivity team is looking for a passionate back-end developer who wants to do exceptional work building performant and server-less cloud applications. You'll be working in a team of front & back-end & embedded engineers building a scalable, reliable and secure SaaS platform for commanding and controlling fleets of autonomous vehicles. This position plays an essential role in helping deliver a safety-critical system for industrial automation -- it offers a very talented software engineer the chance to help develop a market-defining enterprise product that combines autonomous vehicle technology with a software-as-a-service (SaaS) business model.
The ideal candidate will embrace our goal to drive zero-emission, self-driving vehicle adoption, and help us realize our potential to define, build, and lead a new, category of robotic automation for the enterprise.
You are an eager learner, thoughtful and kind. You have a track record of building performant & secure cloud applications. You thrive in fast paced startup environments and have bias for action. You are fluent in Node & TypeScript. Python experience a plus. You have solid experience with AWS, GCP or AWS, such as storage, DB's, queues and event systems. You live & breathe GraphQL, gRPC and REST. You know what ROS & IoT Edge is and have some understanding of how to bridge robots to the cloud in challenging connectivity environments.
Your location isn’t as important as your fit with the role. That said, our preference is that you're located at our headquarters in beautiful Golden, Colorado. If you must work remotely, we require that your hours overlap with ours (US Mountain Time).
