Are you an experienced application developer with a broad set of skills and a passion for tackling complex and challenging problems? Envysion is looking for talented technical innovators to join our engineering team.  You will work on a small team developing internal applications and tools to support our employees and partners. The primary mission of the team is to improve the efficiency and productivity of other teams by providing the applications, tools, and frameworks to make their lives easier.

Core Functions

• Regularly employ your development skills to improve internal systems.
• Actively participate in a fluid and collaborative environment with the ability to improve your co-workers’ lives.
• This is mostly an on-site role, although occasional work-from-home is okay.

Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years experience developing web and database applications
• Ability to maintain and enhance an internal web application:
  • PHP 7 (UI, procedural code, and OO)
  • HTML/CSS
  • JavaScript (dynamic HTML)
  • MySQL
• Relational database skills
• Linux experience
• Agility and comfort with changing requirements and frequent customer feedback
• Experience with other programming languages and tools is a plus
• You get excited thinking about making other people's job easier by providing tools they never knew they needed
• You have the drive and ability to learn systems and technology quickly
• You’re a Jack-of-all-Trades who can build apps, command line tools, run and tune db queries, perform data analysis, and automate processes
• You are energized by understanding the customer and delivering solutions
• You can fluently translate designs into a working application

Education

• Computer Science / Engineering degree or equivalent experience

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
