Our software platform is instrumental in the delivery of this goal - in order to keep costs low for our customers, we use modern software to improve construction, fault-detection, customer service, and many other aspects of building and operating fiber networks. This software is first available for our internal business but is also available for external customers to license as a SaaS. About the Role
Wyyerd group is seeking a UX Designer to join our development team. This is an opportunity to help create designs for a comprehensive SAAS product in the telecommunications industry. We are a small team, and you will be trusted with significant ownership of design decisions.
In this position you will be the primary UX/UI expert and champion, working directly with the product manager and development team. You’ll also be engaging a variety of stakeholders to help drive the creation of an intuitive, easy-to-use platform. This is an exceptionally collaborative position that allows for a large degree of individual input and creativity.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple design projects, ranging in size and scope, simultaneously.
- Use personas, user flows, wireframes, rapid prototyping and other tools to understand, test and validate decisions to drive optimal user experience for our suite of products.
- Be an expert voice advocating for user-centered design in all stages of the product development life cycle.
- Collaborate with peers in an ongoing, iterative creative review process.
- Conduct stakeholder and team presentations, with a focus on articulating the story and thought process behind decisions.
- Further develop and help evolve Wyyerd’s design standards and processes.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Background in or strong familiarity with visual design and digital product development.
- Knowledge of best practices and platform specific design/UI patterns for web-app platforms.
- Fluency in user experience design fundamentals such as wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and design best practices
- Skilled with design & prototyping tools. We don’t have a required product, but Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision are a few we like.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
- Highly organized & collaborative.
- Excitement to work in an ever evolving and growing environment.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Examples of previous work.
Advantageous to have
- Experience designing SaaS products
- BA/BS in Arts/Technology or certificate program completion in UX Design.
- Data analytics and visualization experience.
- Familiarity with Vue.
- Knowledge of HTML.
