Overview

Guild is looking for a User Experience Designer to join our technology team and help Guild build intuitive and elegant products for our many types of users spanning students, employers, universities and Guild employees. You’ll work with Menesha, Stafford and others to find the right mix of design, technology, marketing and human connections to reach more students.

This role is great for you if are excited about creating and scaling a UX language across software and marketing products from the ground up for a product that impacts our students lives every day.

  • Tell us a story about a time when you spoke to users and it completely changed your mind about how should approach creating a solution.

As a UX Designer at Guild you will:

  • Engage in qualitative and quantitative research strategies to proactively identify user experience problems and devise targeted digital and human led solutions.
  • Deliver innovative, engaging prototypes using the latest prototyping and front-end technologies.
  • Design and build user experiences optimized for customers on mobile and desktop.
  • Fulfill multiple project requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Support front-end engineers with development and delivery of Guild products.
  • Spearhead the creation of a style guide and component library.
  • Take ownership of Guild’s user experience across all platforms, customer touchpoints, and processes that combine to deliver our differentiated product to working adults.

We’ll prioritize the following experience and attributes as we evaluate candidates throughout the hiring process:

  • 3 or more years of UX design experience
  • Ability to lead a team in user-centered design and testing methodologies, subsystems, and usability and accessibility concerns.
  • HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript development experience/knowledge
  • Experience with information architecture and methodologies.
  • Software skills in design tools such as Sketch, InVision, Marvel, and Adobe Creative Suite.
