Graphic Designer / Marketing Specialist

In this full-time role, you will be a player and coach - creating high-end visuals that best represent our platform, our brand, and the caliber of work we do as an organization. You'll often be in charge of campaigns with omni-channel reach, captivating audiences both internally and externally. Digital, Print, Environmental - you name the medium and we'll probably have a project in line. This role reports directly to the Director of Marketing and will work hand in hand with all teams within the organization. Some of the responsibilities this role entails include:
- Differentiate Backbone from its competitors
- Create Fortune 100 quality graphics, websites, marketing campaigns
- Drive adoption and growth through digital and print communication
- Facilitate communication to clients, and connecting our clients to the functions within Backbone that can help.
- In parallel, being in-house, you'll find yourself helping to shape the very culture of our team and clients.

You are a trendsetting graphics guru. You know when to push the visual boundaries, and when to let the words speak for themselves. You have a customer facing etiquette and pitch your work like every campaign could make or break us. You love the end result just as much as the process. Before our clients come to know our platform, they will come to know us through your visuals, and with that heavy responsibility, you make it look easy.
The Fine Print:
Research, Plan, Collaborate, and design our Social Content
Confirm project requirements and relay goals to teammates
Understand customer pain points and partner with cross-functional teams to simplify, enhance and automate existing processes that will improve customer workflow
Work with client success team to manage content for our learning and support materials via Hubspot, Zendesk, and Intercom
Identify, translate, prioritize, and inform important product benefits and features
Set up, analyze, and promote good practices for multivariate experiments
Work towards creating a data-informed culture by working with the growth team on its initiatives
Continuously monitor product usage analytics and identify relevant trends and findings that might inform product iteration.
Qualifications:
A portfolio highlighting your amazing work
Drive the creation of original concepts that result in effective and compelling communication
Understanding different language and visual styles that appeal to various target markets
Develop and maintain a clear and consistent brand style
Experience with web markup language and search engine optimization
Familiarity with commonly used style guides and brand standards
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivated and organized
Experience with apparel or related product development/design/production (and/or a willingness to dig in and learn what goes into such roles, in order to better serve/advise/design/empathize)
BA or BFA; or equivalent work experience
Have experience through the full marketing to sales pipeline
Formulating hypothesis
Identifying prospect needs and sources
Analyzing data on the the effectiveness of our campaigns
Have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Have effective oral, presentation, and written communication skills
Be a self starter; ability to act autonomously
Have constant attention to detail
Dynamic, flexible personality; capable of changing on-demand and innovating rapidly
Willingness to roll-up sleeves and dig-in
