Unique opportunity at a growing technology company fundamentally changing the way we access secure services at the convergence of digital, physical, and AI worlds. TruU is seeking a talented Senior Data Scientist to help design, develop, and deploy deep and machine learning models for risk modeling, user identification, and anomaly detection. 

You will be a co-located member of the data science team, working with local and remote data scientists, engineers, and product managers to build a high-quality product for our customers. Self-motivation and a personal strive for building great things are a must for this role. As TruU is a start-up, your input and contributions in various aspects of the company will be expected and valued. 

Location: Boulder

Responsibilities

  • Develop state-of-the-art deep and machine learning models for risk modeling and analysis, user identification, and anomaly detection.
  • Design, implement, and validate your solutions in Python using machine learning libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn.
  • Work with our engineering team to integrate your solution into the TruU platform.  
  • Very familiar with best practices and new research in deep and machine learning.
  • Present TruU algorithms and techniques at conferences and meetups.
  • Mentor team members in art, science, and practice of data science. 

Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience developing novel machine learning models and operationalizing them.
  • A background in computer science with either an advanced degree or demonstrated ability to do software engineering. 
  • Strong quantitative background in mathematics, statistics, physical or computational sciences. A comparable alternative is acceptable. 
  • Competent in communicating complex ideas clearly and effectively both orally and in writing. 
  • Ability and desire to work in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Desire to keep abreast of emerging machine learning technologies and to identify areas in TruU where these techniques can be deployed.

Bonus Points:

  • A background in cybersecurity.
  • Prior experience building user identification or biometrics models.
