Job Description

Nordstrom Data Technology is pivotal to the Nordstrom customer experience. As an Engineer 2 you will help build the next generation of the Nordstrom Analytics Platform and deliver on the strategic vision of Customer focused features and services to enhance "The Nordstrom Customer Service Excellence". You will be a key part of our Nordstrom Technology team that focuses on the development of a new Customer Activity clickstream processing platform, as well as tooling and SDK’s that enable Nordstrom’s technology team to utilize event driven architecture to effectively move information across applications.

A day in the life

• Contribute to development of high load, scalable microservices.
• Develop tooling and SDK’s to support event ingestion and consumption across Norstrom’s technology teams.
• Ideate and define new capabilities for our products.
• Be a part of a hyper-growth team

You own this if you have

• 2+ years of experience building enterprise standard microservices
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Experience in both functional and OOP programming concepts and languages (Java, Scala, NodeJS etc).
• Experience or interest in utilizing event stream processing platforms (Kafka, Rabbit).
• Have developed or contributed to open source projects, SDK’s etc.
• Familiar with CI/CD deployment strategies and management of containerized applications (K8s).
