As the Market and Business Intelligence Lead, representing the Customer Accommodations group within our Space Destinations sector, you will play a key role in working with Corporate Development to drive the operational, marketing and pricing analytics to inform strategic decisions such as Mergers & Acquisitions considerations and evaluations, and Market Incubation for our Destinations Team.
You will oversee the team responsible for market research, complex operations modeling, pricing and financial modeling, and collaborating across the Sierra Space enterprise. You will work to gather, cleanse, organize, and analyze large amounts of data in order to generate reports and recommendations that inform business strategy.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $159,430.15 - $219,216.46

Primary Responsibilities:
Market Research & Data:
- Design and structure analytics and both quantitative and qualitative market research to support value chain analysis, innovation process analysis and, marketing and business decisions
- Partner with various levels of the organization to define and structure market research plans and assure their alignment with corporate strategies
- Gather and analyze historical trends, emerging market strategy, market data, business drivers, technology trends and financial information to develop actionable intelligence Strategic Initiatives
Data Analysis:
- Oversee and develop demand modeling/ROI of offerings and develop pricing analysis and strategy
- Oversee and develop enterprise operational modeling as driven by Destinations. Oversee and develop analysis of non-engineering business aspects of potential customer or service (eg. Legal, liability considerations)
- Provide regular reporting via KPIs and Reporting Dashboards to Director of Customer Accommodations
- Write reports and presentations that present data and findings in a clear and concise manner; provide talking points and various data analysis to support complex negotiations
Competitive Analysis & Market Insights:
- Conduct competitive market analysis used to create reports on a wide variety of investment projects, businesses, ideas, concepts and long-term forecast
- Oversee and develop enterprise operational modeling as driven by Destinations; monitor and evaluate relevant market insights/trends to identify upcoming challenges, review market position and determine threats/opportunities for the organization
Project Management & Systems:
- Establish, implement and lead BI/MI project management framework, methodologies and standards
- Operational integration of Business Development, Marketing, and the Customer Accommodations technical team; asses new technology proposals & business opportunities for data technology, Power-BI, Microsoft Dynamics
- Develop partnerships and identify opportunities to improve/revise business processes along shared risk-reward structures
Executive Leadership & Key Stakeholders:
- Prepare transaction summaries and perform acquisition analysis and present to executive leadership; understand their unique business and needs
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across multiple channels to enable successful cross-functional analysis
Business Strategy & Business Development:
- Provide leadership and direction in the translation of business and market intelligence strategy into organizational initiatives, risks and, priorities
- Develop Strategic initiatives from concept to execution including portfolio, international partnership and market opportunities
- Assist in development and implementation of business plan Subject contributor business development teams helping with key business planning activities
- Support Corporate Development with make/buy and invest/acquire evaluations, Destinations' M&A pipeline and targets, customer incubation, inputs to corporate financial model, and market insights
Competitive Analysis & Market Insights:

Must-haves:
- Bachelors degree in business- or technical- related discipline and typically ten (10) or more years of relevant experience; higher education may be considered in lieu of experience
- Relevant work experience may substitute for required education
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Strong analytical, operational, problem solving, planning, time management, and project management foundation
- Highly proficient in market research, financial modeling, revenue modeling, sales approaches, and reporting
- Mastery of the ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge status quo, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to dynamic situations with the sense of urgency to drive business results
- Must be able to work with multi-disciplinary teams in a highly collaborative, fast paced, and technical environment
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data and synthesize recommendations
- Ability to communicate verbally, interpersonally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
- Proven cognitive, analytical and negotiation skills
Preferred:
- MBA or similar advanced degree
- Expert level at Microsoft Excel and Power-BI
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and CRM
- Experience supporting senior level leaders/key stakeholders in the use of Market Research, Market Insights, Data Analytics, KPI's and Financial Modeling, Intelligence Analysis/Gathering for the purpose of driving/influencing strategic planning, risk mitigation and key, high level business decisions
- Experience working in business management, sales operations, sales planning, or revenue operations for complex enterprises
