Data Scientist
We're looking for a Data Scientist to join our analytics team based in Denver, CO. As a Data Scientist with Digital Assets Data, you’ll be a part of a high performing team that is leading the disruption of the crypto investment industry. We are looking for someone who is motivated and passionate about designing novel trading indicators, indices, and analyses in the emerging field of cryptoanalysis as well as producing thought leadership that will help shape how investors think about and value the space. With extremely large datasets consisting of billions of records from exchanges and blockchains, you will be utilizing data that very few in the industry has access to.

Duties and Responsibilities
Produce novel analyses on the cryptoasset markets utilizing Python and Jupyter Notebooks
Evaluate the use of standard financial modeling techniques for use in cryptocurrency
Develop trading indicators and predictive / forecasting models specific to cryptoasset markets that showcase the Digital Assets Data analytic platform and datasets
Communicate findings to non-technical customers and stakeholders
Work collaboratively with the development team to enhance our analytic infrastructure and ensure our data is complete and high quality
Help design and implement standard data science functions within the analytic platform, lowering the technical requirement for customers to produce their own advanced analyses
Implement new statistical variables via SQL stored procedures
Lead, develop, and mentor a team of 4+ Research Analysts and Junior Data Scientists

Required Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, or other Quantitative Discipline
Bachelors + 4 Years Experience, Masters + 2 Years Experience
Expertise in analytical technology
Fluency in Python for analytics (Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, Scikit-learn, etc)
Knowledge and education in statistics, probability, and combinatorics and their applications in business and analytics
Extensive experience manipulating and analyzing time-series data
Machine learning expertise -- building machine learning models from start to finish, including gathering and cleaning data, feature engineering, feature selection and dimensionality reduction, algorithm selection, algorithm tuning, output generation and use
Extensive experience working with relational databases, including ETL and data warehousing fundamentals
Mastery of SQL (preferably PostgreSQL)
Ability to be a leading contributor and thought leader in the emerging field of cryptoanalysis
Experience in financial data analysis
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in analyzing cryptoassets, preferably from a financial perspective
Experience using the the Jupyter Notebook ecosystem, leveraging Altair for visualization
Experience with leveraging big data tools, including Spark and Hadoop, for data science
