Job Title: Data Engineer

Duties: Mercury Healthcare Inc. seeks a Data Engineer in Denver, Colorado to develop software applications. Develop data pipeline features to process incoming healthcare information quickly and reliably. Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, Databricks and AWS technologies. Write automated test scripts that power a continuous delivery pipeline. Review other team members' code for correctness and quality. Write automated test scripts that power a continuous delivery pipeline. Remove roadblocks to development through collaboration, communication, and creative solution recommendations. Recommend and drive development best practices and continuous integration and delivery as part of a forward-thinking, agile organization. May work from home.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a related field plus one year (or Bachelor's degree plus five progressive years) of software development experience. Must have at least one year of experience in each of the following: 1. Developing data pipelines or ETLs; 2. Utilizing Python, Scala or Java; 3. Utilizing Apache Spark for data transformation and aggregation; 4. Performing with object-oriented/object function scripting languages; 5. Designing and building distributed systems for scalability and security; and 6. Building micro services architecture and API gateways. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
