We are seeking a Compliance Analyst to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet.
What you get to do:

  • Under the direction of the Director of Risk and Compliance, responsible for monitoring activity or research matters to identify risk and compliance issues to continue to ensure the Uplight compliance program is operating effectively
  • Review, analyze, track, and report on compliance and audit issues according to established company policies and processes
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in regard to new compliance requirements, drafting/updating new policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with Legal and Contracts and other teams to ensure awareness, assess applicability, and make timely and adequate process and controls updates to meet compliance requirements.
  • Conducts audits and reviews as needed and investigates concerns as they arise
  • Seeks resolutions to internal/external correspondence or client situations which may include researching, recommending, coordinating responses
  • Confirm Uplight compliance with all SOC2 audit requirements and applicable regulations
  • Maintain system of compliance tracking and workflows
  • Assess risk and compliance performance to ensure industry audit, compliance, regulatory requirements and applicable state and federal law requirements are maintained
  • Act as liaison between compliance and Uplight teams, provide effective communication to external auditors, external business partners to promote their understanding of compliance with policies and procedure
  • Apply Risk & Compliance governance best practices and the implementation of practical, company-wide risk management processes
  • Provide feedback/reporting of compliance and/or audit findings to Risk & Compliance management

What you bring to Uplight:

  • A minimum of three years of experience with compliance
  • Experience working closely with or reporting to Audit, Finance, and/or Risk & Compliance
  • Knowledge of and experience with risk and compliance requirements related to software or cloud service providers
  • Experience with SOC-1 and/or SOC-2 audit processes
  • Commitment to maintaining a high standard of confidentiality and ability to work with highly sensitive data and information
  • Exceptional communications skills to effectively deal with various levels of customers, colleagues, management, and business partners
  • Ability to work efficiently across multiple product platforms and tools (MS Office, Google suite, GRC tools, Slack, etc.)
  • Certified Compliance or Audit qualifications in risk management preferred
  • Ability to multitask and to quickly pivot to evolving priorities
  • Demonstrated organizational, detail orientation, prioritization skills, and time management skills to ensure that work-related activities are completed in an accurate and timely manner


Bonus Points:

  • Experience working for or with utility companies or related energy companies
  • Experience working with compliance governance risk and controls tools and portals
  • Experience working with third-party vendors

Salary Range: $60,000 to $70,000
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
