Associate Decision Scientist, Data & Media
Ibotta is looking for an Associate Decision Scientist, Data & Media to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside talented individuals and understand the business in-depth, support and challenge strategic directions, and build state-of-the-art tools to drive value throughout our business. As an Associate Decision Scientist, you will be responsible for providing actionable and data-driven recommendations to internal and external stakeholders, build out data products for external customers, and work with our Data & Media sales team to support new business opportunities.
Ibotta captures billions of purchases annually, with over ten thousand brands and across hundreds of retailers, presenting the right candidate with the opportunity to work with one of the most comprehensive and unique (purchasing) data sets in the world.
This position is located in Denver, Colorado or with the option of full-time remote. Candidates must live in the United States, Canada, or Mexico.
What you will be doing:

- Working cross-functionally to support the Data & Media sales team by generating analytical insights to answer important client questions
- Developing and automating analytics tools that enable internal business customers to gain insights they can use to drive client revenue
- Design, implement, and update Data License products
- Identifying interesting and unexpected trends in the data that go beyond the needs of individual requests and projects
- Communicating analysis findings in a clear, concise manner
What we are looking for:
- 1 - 3 years of experience in analytics or data science
- Strong SQL knowledge and proven data wrangling skills
- Intermediate experience with modern data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, Spark)
- Ability to develop, automate, visualize, analyze, and communicate learnings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus

Additional Details:
- This position is located in Denver, CO or with the option of full-time remote and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, 401k match, profit sharing and equity. Candidates must live in the United States, Canada, or Mexico.
- Base compensation range: $60,000 - $70,000. Total compensation for this role also includes a variable component in addition to base salary. This compensation range is specific to the state of Colorado's local labor market and may vary for employees living in other areas.
