Healthgrades is seeking a Data Analyst to join our Data Science team in downtown Denver. As the Data Analyst, you will complete extracts and analyses for the business unit and presents findings and recommendations to business leaders.

 

What you will do:

  • Identify and extract appropriate subsets of data.
  • Optimize queries for performance.
  • Identify issues related to data, data sources, and data processing.
  • Operationalize data table maintenance for common data extraction requests.
  • Develop and deploy interactive reports to internal partners.
  • Utilize report generating software and systems to optimize frequent analysis requests.
  • Update existing reports.
  • Review and document data analysis methodology.
  • Conduct analysis and confirm results.
  • Document quality assurance process and any variations in findings.
  • Document and communicate findings and insights to business unit leaders and/or clients.
  • Assist in the development of recommendations, communications, process improvements, and other action items based on your findings and insights.

 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in data analytics
  • Solid grasp of SQL data relationships and structures
  • Experience with large-scale relational databases, data transformation, and data queries using Microsoft SQL
  • Ability to translate data findings into actionable recommendations and process improvements
  • Healthcare and/or medical data background strongly preferred (medical codes, hospital payer or government claims)
