Job Duties and Responsibilities
DISH Wireless is seeking a Manager for the Systems team that manages Tools such as our Wireless Deployment tool, Transport Tool and various databases. This position will manage and lead a team of Product Owners, QA Engineers, System Administrators and Data Engineers who work with numerous stakeholders, customers, and executive sponsors to define, develop, test, and deploy the Systems and Tools that facilitate our 5G Network rollout. This person will lead a team that is enabling DISH to build its greenfield 5G network faster and more cost efficiently than has ever been done before in the industry.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and lead a team through the stages of feature intake, backlog, design, development, test and deployment of new products, features and enhancements
- Oversee a team that project manages internal/external resources (vendors) in the software development of epics/stories (development, push to QAT, push to Production)
- Oversee QA team in testing new features and enhancements.
- Manage the system Administrators
- Collaborate with the training team on the communication of new features and enhancement
- Establish and prioritize short and long term priorities for the team, remove blockers and make decisions to improve progress, and hold teams accountable for delivering expected results.
- Manage roles and responsibilities, workload breakdown, team structure, feedback distribution, and coaching for individual contributors.
- Ensure systems meet Service Level Agreements for internal and external stakeholders while serving as a point of contact for Operations escalations in the Production environment.
- Produce and present update dashboards for management.
- Build trustworthy relationships with direct reports, teams, suppliers, vendors, customers, partners, and stakeholders in relentless pursuit of our sixth everyday principle: Think Customer.
- Lead, teach, and/or sponsor technical skills development for team members in support of high quality and future-ready systems and tools.
- Listen, empathize, and empower teams in problem solving, root cause analyses, and solutions.

- Serve as an internal and external DISH Ambassador by consistently demonstrating The DISH Way through CPAW and Everyday Principles to help us achieve our Mission and Vision.

Skills, Experience and Requirements
As a successful Manager, you will have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical degree.
- At least 5 years of product experience working within an Agile software development environment
- Experience developing software using Python, Java, PHP, C++, or Go.
- Experience using databases such as Oracle
- At least 3 years of experience managing at least 2 direct reports.
- An understanding of Wireless technology
- An understanding of Fiber & Transport
Salary Range
Compensation: $87,500.00/Year - $143,750.00/Year
