Job Description

Journey recently closed its first round of external funding and is in a period of hyper growth. As we prepare to exit stealth mode and ramp up our sales and marketing efforts, we’re looking for a senior content marketer to play the lead role in designing brand and product messaging for sales and marketing collateral, spearheading a wide variety of digital literature including web copy, press releases and blog posts, and turning technical concepts into high-level whitepapers that the average Joe can comprehend. 

This person will be responsible for a wide variety of deliverables, as well as steering the broader content marketing strategy as we continue to grow and expand. We’re looking for a candidate that loves to jump back and forth from messaging strategy to long form white papers to app copy (and everything in between), that has a personal passion for technology, and is intrinsically motivated to have a meaningful impact on the growth and success of the company. This position will report to Journey’s President, who comes from a digital agency background. 

We’re newly funded, led by one of the strongest teams the industry has ever seen, and in a period of hyper growth that is driving an ambitious hiring plan. What Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • Help lead content strategy across all channels.
  • Create brand and product messaging templates to serve as the source of truth for sales and marketing collateral.
  • Work in tandem with sales and leadership to create, proof, refine, and expand upon sales and investment pitch decks.
  • Work in tandem with Journey’s partner network to write co-branded and whitelabeled marketing collateral.
  • Draft and distribute press releases on key events.
  • Take the lead on writing digital copy spanning mobile apps, our website, demo websites, blog posts, ghost writing articles for executives, etc. .
  • Write white papers about technical subject matter (cyber security, contact centers, fraud, user experience, etc) that are digestible by non-technical audiences.
  • Be flexible. Part of being a startup means no 2 days are the same and the business needs will rapidly evolve.

What a Strong Candidate Looks Like

  • A proven track record with writing sales and marketing collateral, brand and product messaging, web copy & more
  • A strong ability to comprehend complex and technical concepts and translate it into clear, concise, and digestible material
  • Passion for technology, specifically protecting consumers digital privacy and security 
  • An entrepreneurs’ attitude - innate curiosity, hunger to deliver value, resiliency to roadblocks and redirections, and tenacious work ethic
