We are looking for a talented individual with curriculum, course development and training experience in the academic community (K-20+). In this position you will create new lessons and courses, update existing courses, and deliver occasional training to faculty in our academic community.The ideal individual will have previous analytical experience working with relational databases, business intelligence platforms, and/or predictive modeling software. Additionally, they will have significant experience designing and developing content for learners of all ages. Experience training others on the concepts and usage of predictive analytics is a significant plus.We are looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about education, impacting lives, and can easily work with other Alteryx content developers.Responsibilities:Curriculum Design

  • Generate business requirements and SOWs for new courses
  • Design ILT, online, and blended learning materials including active learning activities, problem solving games, and classroom learning resources for use by academic institutions, students and self-directed learners
  • Design and develop step-by-step activities and/or lab instructions
  • Assist with designing hackathons and other student competitions through analytics use-case creation.

Curriculum Development

  • Develop ILT, online, and blended learning materials
  • Create and maintain education materials for the academic and workforce development community (K-20+)
  • Develop and implement courseware guidelines using established Alteryx and appropriate academic standards

Curriculum Management

  • Develop data, data analytics and Alteryx product knowledge expertise to support new learning product development, roll outs, revisions and releases
  • Deliver and maintain learning content for the academic community
  • Experience with content release management for SaaS platforms.

Curriculum Deployment

  • Use company established delivery mechanism for release of content
  • Build and maintain content release notes
  • Create and manage content feedback reporting tools.

Teacher/Faculty Training (as needed)

  • Coordinate and deliver live and online train-the-trainer sessions worldwide
  • Present lectures at high schools, colleges, and universities

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Instructional Design or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in designing developing learning content in the academic environment, preferably in data analytics/data science
  • Well-versed in multimedia technology
  • Game development a plus
  • Proclivity for project management
  • Technical writing experience
  • Solid experience leading training in both in classroom and online settings is required
  • Aptitude to develop proficiency in all areas of Alteryx Designer
  • Works well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced product development lifecycle
  • Creative thinking and problem solving skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Able to communicate effectively both up and down the organization
  • Excellent with PowerPoint
  • Able to travel 15% of the year

Compensation:Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Irvine, is 74,900 - 123,600. This role is eligible for variable compensation including commission and stock grants. This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. #LI-CM1
