Associate Legal Counsel
Ibotta is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of business acumen and legal expertise. With a focus on compliance and stakeholder communication, they will play a crucial role in facilitating agreements, managing risk, and advising on employment practices for Ibotta's extensive workforce.
This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office, (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.
What you will be doing:
Draft and negotiate complex legal agreements, including commercial contracts, master services agreements, statements of work, insertion orders, marketing agreements, vendor agreements, and data license agreements.
Employ negotiation skills that optimize collaboration across departments, merging business acumen with legal expertise to facilitate the efforts of various teams
Ensure agreements and transactions with customers and partners comply with Ibotta’s policies and applicable laws
Keep internal and external stakeholders informed on key legal and regulatory developments affecting Ibotta's business and industry
Provide legal support in connection with developing risk-management processes and resolving potential compliance issues
Provide comprehensive guidance to Ibotta's HR team on a wide spectrum of employment practices and issues

What we are looking for:
1+ years of professional experience in a law firm or in-house role
J.D. from an accredited law school required, with the flexibility to successfully pass the Colorado bar within the initial 6-9 months of employment at Ibotta if not already admitted
Understanding of general contract drafting and contract construction principles, standard contract provisions, and general negotiation skills
Exposure to employment practices law, securities law and commercial litigation preferred
