User Experience Designer

The UX Designer – Marketing/UI is responsible for working closely with the Product Management and Development teams to deliver compelling graphic designs for various marketing efforts and intuitive user experiences for internal web-based applications. The UX Designer – Marketing/UI must be constantly striving to create: highly compelling marketing collaterals that reinforce the corporate identity; and efficient, user-centered web experiences.Tasks and responsibilities of the User Experience Designer position include:
- Participate in Design Meetings. Gather requirements for assigned projects, brainstorm, develop concepts, streamline usability.
- Create design concepts by studying and analyzing product or service definitions. This includes analyzing user requirements and target market.
- Production of print collaterals (brochures, handouts, program ads, etc.), from concept to finished design, often working with an outside printer.
- Generate UI mockups from brainstorming sessions. Present mockups and provide insight and suggestions at design review meetings as appropriate.
- Balance multiple projects with tight deadlines. Work across disciplines and organizational boundaries to complete projects on schedule.
Education, Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Must be able to produce college transcripts showing minimum 3.0 GPA
- 3+ years experience with print design
- 3+ years experience with Photoshop
- 3+ years experience with Illustrator, InDesign
- 2+ years experience with web design
- 2+ years experience designing for PowerPoint
- Photoshop wizardry and proficiency with Illustrator and In-Design required
- Proficient in both Windows and Mac environments
- Ability to adapt to and emulate many different styles of design with strict attention to detail
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed
- Excellent facilitation, organization & analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work directly with internal teams, including sales and development personnel, and handle various personalities and approaches to input and collaboration
