The UK/US Accountant will be primarily responsible for closing the books for our entity in the UK and will assist with the US close as needed.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Review A/P invoices for proper coding
• Timely and accurate preparation, review and distribution of customer invoices
• Research customer billing inquiries and provide timely response
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external associates
• Willingness to come in early to allow some overlap with UK business hours
• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close
• Reconcile cash accounts on a weekly and monthly basis
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis including prepaids and accruals
• Reconcile sales data between the accounting system and SalesForce on a monthly basis
• Recognize revenue in accordance with UK and/or US GAAP
• Prepare departmental financial statements for monthly review
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT report
• Work with controller and external auditors to ensure timely delivery of audit requests
• Willingness to travel to our UK office at least once a year

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel
• Experience in working with foreign currencies
• Demonstrated organizational skills
• Rigorous attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate by phone or in person
• Unquestionable judgment and ethics
• Ability to work effectively with little oversight
• Self-motivated and shows initiative with ability to manage and follow up on multiple tasks simultaneously
• 4+ years of GL accounting experience

 PREFERRED:

• CPA preferred
• BS in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Experience with NetSuite preferred
• Experience with Sales Force preferred
