What You Will Do

CA Nimsoft Monitor is a global leader in infrastructure management with capabilities to monitor our customer's servers, applications, network, databases, cloud, storage and more! The R&D headquarters for CA Nimsoft Monitor is located in beautiful Fort Collins, CO. Using agile development tools and the latest technology, new product capabilities are released every quarter with an unrelenting commitment to quality. This position is responsible for creating and/or maintaining modules for the CA Nimsoft Monitor product. 

Key Responsibilities 
• Design and implement moderately complex UI features that meet functional and business requirements on schedule and within budget. 
Participates in grooming of product backlog with product management, architecture, and other stakeholders. 
• Visualize, articulate and break down complex problems into simpler parts
• Perform unit/module testing of software to find errors and confirm programs meet specifications. 
• Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections. 
• Fix bugs, add enhancements, and convert software to other platforms. 
• Work effectively with quality assurance team and support personnel as needed to determine system problems. 
• Put forward accurate time estimates of work to be done on a project 
• Collaborate with quality assurance in creation of their test plans and participate in reviews. 
• Provide product content to technical writers and review for technical accuracy. 
• Provide input to establish and improve departmental processes and procedures. 
• Participate in design and code reviews with other developers. 

Who You Are

You have a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline. A Master's degree or global equivalent is a plus. With typically 3-5 or more years of experience in software development or a related field, you are passionate about building, testing and delivering the best computer systems.

• Experienced with Test Driven Design (TDD) 
• Experience with IP-based networking protocols, virtualization tools, storage systems, and/or equipment/applications 
• Experience with MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle Databases, or Big Data 
• Knowledge of QoS and IT management products 
• Experience with Linux, Windows, and/or Solaris operating systems 
• Network and cloud management experience 
• Knowledge of User Interface (UI) design 
• HTML5 
• Awareness of language and cultural issues related to localization of software 

Business Travel and Physical Demands 
Business travel of approximately 10 or less percent yearly is expected for this position.
