Summary

As a Technical Product Owner in the engineering department, you will be responsible for working with internal customers to collect requirements and communicate deliveries and will play the product owner role in an agile development team. The ideal candidate has an intellectual curiosity and affinity for facilitating groups to holistic solutions, and the communication skills to keep business and operations staff up-to-date and ready to work with new solutions.

Responsibililties

  • Work closely with the business and technical teams, and will be a major contributor to the requirements
  • Drive solution definition, design, and feature acceptance criteria for projects, product enhancements and bugs with alignment to the “customer problem definition”
  • are at home in Agile Scrum environments, and you excel at problem-solving and conflict resolution. 
  • Participate in customer requirements gathering and support sales engineering on more complex customer projects
  • Perform feasibility analysis, scopes projects, and work with the project management team to prioritizes deliverables, and negotiate on product functionalities.
  • Facilitate business acceptance through demos and documentation
  • Investigate as-is conditions and requirements gaps via data profiling, SQL exploration, data file review, and light code reviews.
  • Provide analytics support by coordinating data extraction from various databases and data interpretation.
  • Participate in Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Functionality Testing.
  • Work with internal business and operational staff to understand customer expectations of specific features for holistic value-focused acceptance criteria
  • Analyze existing systems for change impact and context
  • Facilitate development teams’ understanding of problem to be solved
  • Facilitate teams through solution design and work breakdown
  • Provide details for internal release notes
  • Work with business and operations teams to identify full feature completion
  • Facilitate and drive updates to documentation, training programs and support processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 4+ years experience as a Business Analayst, data analyst, or produt owner
  • 3+ years of customer interfacing experience - project oversight, customer presentation.
  • 3+ years SQL query and data profiling experience
  • Experience with Software development life-cycles and agile feature-driven development
