SendGrid is looking for a Sr. Data Warehouse Architect to join our Business Systems team. As we rebuild our data warehouse, this is your chance to get on at the ground floor and help transform how our business consumes and data. As an Architect, we'll be looking to you as a subject matter expert in ETL design, development, and optimization.

The candidate will work as a Sr. Data Warehouse Architect and will be responsible for creating and maintaining the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). The Sr. Data Warehouse Architect is responsible for the design and maintenance of the Enterprise data model, software architecture and overall design of the processes to populate and maintain the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) as part of the Business Systems Team.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop data structures that support high performing and scalable analytic applications on the GoodData (HP Vertica) & Informatica platforms (or similar BI & ETL solutions)
• Direct data warehouse meta data capture processes, structuring, and publishing effort
• Work closely with Data & Business Analysts across the organization on the design of our database model & ETL strategies
• Stay ahead of Data Architecture & BI technology and advises as to how these technologies can be utilized to improve the performance and reliability of the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) landscape
• Work with integration processes for the EDW
• Developing ETL logic utilizing informatica workflows, scripting and load utilities
• Logical Data Modeling and Data Warehouse Design
• Analyze requirements, create, design and deliver documented solutions
• Define standards and procedures; refine methods and techniques for data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) both in batch and near real-time modes
• Evaluate, test, and determine root cause and resolve production issues
• Work with Business Systems and other groups within the organization to deliver coordinated technical BI solutions
• Manage data validation and data cleansing operations in the EDW

About You

• 6-8 years experience in ETL design and Development using informatica or similar ETL tools
• Bachelor's degree in computer information systems, computer science, business or related field preferred
• Team player with a great attitude and positive outlook on life (it's not all about work)
• Experience integrating disparate systems into conformed dimensions
• Experience in data modeling (logical and/or physical)
• Intimate knowledge in Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) integration best practices
• Strong command of MS Excel
• Has experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance implementations and support
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience working with Informatica, HP Vertica or GoodData technologies a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
