Position: Software Automation Engineer 
Location: Broomfield, CO
 
Our ideal candidate is a passionate advocate for our customers, the quality of our releases, consistent improvement in our engineering teams and outcomes, and the usability and performance of our software. 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Design and implement software test automation framework that will aggregate existing systems as well as new tools yet to be written
  • Estimate work effort
  • Communicate status to stakeholders
  • Enable framework to be executed in highly scalable manner
  • Enhance and extend the automation library and framework
  • Write specialized automation tools for use in testing our software platform
  • Participate in day-to-day engineering activities as part of an Agile Scrum Team
  • Collaborate with Scrum team and analyze user stories to determine test scenarios/acceptance criteria
  • Design and improve processes/tools to shorten feedback loop cycle
 
Qualifications: 
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience 
  • At least 5 years of experience in software
  • At least 2 years of experience in automating complex systems 
  • In depth understanding of software engineering and automation principles and the ability to apply this understanding to formulate and execute test strategies 
  • Strong skills in critical thinking, decision making, problem solving, and attention to detail
  • Proven success in improving software reliability and release predictability
 
Relevant: 
  • Experience working with the Windows stack (Visual Studio, C++, C#, .NET) or Web stack (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS)
  • Experience in successfully designing and implementing an automation strategy 
  • Experience with testing, development, and deployment of desktop, server, and web applications 
  • Experience collaborating with multiple departments to achieve successful outcomes
  • Experience with Continuous Deployment systems
  • Data collection and root cause analysis techniques
  • AWS experience, AWS certifications are a plus
