Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer
Responsibilities:
  • Champion a deep sense of personal ownership for Quality on our highly collaborative team.
  • Manage the flow of tickets to be tested.  Work with others on the QA team and developers to ensure ticket coverage.
  • Partner with Developers and Product Owners to ensure best-in- class platforms: internal applications, external portals, public REST APIs and mobile applications.
  • Enable us to move toward Continuous Integration - balance short term manual testing with a long term commitment to test automation.
  • Drive the fundamentals of great Quality - Review user stories, design, develop, maintain and review test plans, execute software test cycles, performs regression testing, record results and report defects, analyze test results and recommend corrective actions.
  • Work within an Agile environment, ensuring the code we produce delivers on our user stories and acceptance criteria. Be an integral part of evolving our Agile process.
Requirements:
  • Three or more years of Quality Assurance and testing experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with an unwavering attention to detail.
  • Good written and oral communications skills.
  • Experience with Jira, git (or another modern source control system) and working with mockups.
  • The ability to program automated tests in one or more languages.
  • Experience testing RESTful APIs and User Interfaces.
  • Commitment to positive, collaborative test methodologies.
  • General understanding of basic data structures and algorithms.
  • Prior experience in software development is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Javascript and common browser debugging tools (Chrome Dev Tools, Firebug, etc) desirable.
  • Knowledge of common Internet protocols, especially HTTP.
  • Experience with at least one continuous integration framework.
