Senior IT Engineer

To build on Tendril’s success, we need to scale our IT services and processes. You will help formulate our growth plan, evaluate and deploy new technologies, and ensure that our infrastructure can support our fast-paced growth.

What You Will Do

• You will analyze our current IT infrastructure/operations, then update and improve upon them.
• You will work hands on with migration to, and management of, cloud SaaS for IT services.
• You will create and fine tune the monitoring of existing and newly rolled out services.
• You will streamline new hire processes and technologies.
• You will perform more traditional IT duties as well, including system monitoring, central authentication, system hardening, and other types of administration.
• You will also be responsible for traditional Linux System Admin responsibilities.

 
What You Bring to Tendril

• Your intellectual curiosity keeps you cutting-edge on technical trends.
• You can skillfully monitor and manage scalable clusters that handle tremendous load.
• You are service-oriented and enjoy working with software engineers as your primary customer.
• You have carried a pager and know what to do when things go wrong. (Don't worry, we carry them, too, and work hard to make sure they never go off!)
• You have strong scripting experience.
• You have CentOS (or other flavor of Linux) know-how.

 
Bonus Points

• You are self-motivated and able to work independently and/or in small teams.
• You are fearless in the face of massive technical challenges.
• You have experience with log collection and analysis, and performance monitoring.
• You have managed server and app deployments.
• You have solid network experience.
• You have experience using MAC hardware and OS.
