Tendril, a leading provider of energy analytic software solutions for leading energy, solar and real estate companies worldwide, is looking for an outstanding User Interface / Visual Designer to join our amazing Creative team.
We’re transforming the energy space through the design and execution of world-class software products. Reporting to the Creative Director, you will work alongside our marketing and product design teams as well as other teams such as product management, engineering, sales and account management. Your work will impact all aspects of the company.
Our ideal candidate is consistency focused, savors ongoing collaboration, communicates with confidence and clarity, and keenly passionate about design with a proven ability to craft high quality work. Skills and experience are necessary, but we hire on culture first—so our ideal candidate is also cool.
Essentials:
- 6+ years of relevant experience: in-house / agency experience strongly preferred
- An online portfolio of recent design work: a must have
- Demonstrated mastery of design fundamentals: typography, grids, color, icons and application of atomic design systems.
- The ability to negotiate creative requirements, apply feedback, and provide consultative design as a service.
- A team first player
- Ability to speculate and prototype interactive / visual design
- Expert level with Adobe Creative Suite and experience with Sketch
- Experience working with clients and front-end developers
- Formal design training
What you can contribute:
- Ownership of UI/visual design for mobile first design
- Distillation of highly complex UX and marketing requirements into clean and intuitive user experience design.
- A voice for design in products and marketing touchpoints.
- Creating design for products and prototypes that are revolutionizing the energy space
- Help change the way the world uses energy through design
Nice to have, but not required:
- IA / UX capabilities with examples of wireframes/flows/prototypes
- Experience doing user testing (on-site and online)
- Depp knowledge of responsive design and modern web standards
- Familiarity with (or ability to code) HTML/CSS/JS
