As a Senior Software Engineer on the the Engineering Team, you will play a key role in the delivery of an ambitious product roadmap for 2017 and beyond. You will work closely with the CTO and teammates to architect and deliver features that help our customers modernize their businesses with Useful. You will be seen as a thought leader on the team. The team will seek to learn from your deep knowledge and experience. Your current skills will be flexed, and you will likely pick up new ones.

Focusing on the backend, architect and build great features that support our ambitious product roadmap

Write well designed, testable, tested, and efficient code

Collaborate with the team on product technical design, automated testing, bug fixes, DevOps tasks, and anything else needed to build and support a great product

Determine operational and technical feasibility of feature requests

About You

If you don’t know Elixir yet, you are ambitious about learning it

You have 7+ years of full stack web application programming in any language: Ruby, Node, Java, C#, Python, Javascript, etc.

Functional programming experience a huge plus: Erlang, F#, Haskell, Clojure, etc.

You are experienced with data modeling

You can write and optimize SQL queries

BS in a technical discipline or equivalent experience required
