POSITION SUMMARY

The Security Engineer II position focuses on completion of tasks to ensure on-time completion of service delivery projects.  The Security Engineer II is responsible for successfully leading and completing all phases of assigned projects.

The Security Engineer II will work with all other Technical Services Engineers in support of service delivery. This will involve working closely on multiple projects based upon task assignment from Principal and Senior Engineers on enterprise projects and for individual projects assigned by the Director.  The Security Engineer II will utilize the Technical Services Career Education and Training Plan and become certified in a minimum of one product –DLP/Gateway/SIEM - in support of Data Protection/Threat Protection.

All InteliSecure employees are to ensure tasks performed adhere to the firm’s ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS).  This includes participation in annual information and network security training and acceptance of spot checks on an ad hoc basis to guarantee that InteliSecure is constantly improving upon the organization’s ISMS.  Each member of our team must understand the importance of the ISMS and the subsequent handling of client data. 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to Technical Services Manager

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Plan, design, implement, and complete a successful security solution in a wide range of customer environments based upon vertical assigned.
  • Provide in-depth knowledge transfer, recommendations, and industry best practices to customers and MS during project implementations.
  • Create technical documentation detailing all aspects of the project. Assist in design of internal documents that will provide support in all aspects of the technical engineering engagements.
  • Acquire and maintain certifications on designated solutions to maintain InteliSecure’s status with select Vendor Partners.
  • Continue career progression to meet requirements of Senior Security Engineer.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4-6 years of Computer Networking, IT Helpdesk, System Administration, or Network Security preferred.
  • Windows, Unix/Linux Operating System administration experience.
  • Experience working with clients in a service delivery role preferred.
  • Must have a passion for technology design and management.
  • Background in Technology including systems and networking preferred.
  • System administration of servers, appliances, networking devices or applications.
  • Demonstrated organizational and scheduling skills, rigorous attention to detail.
  • Analytical ability, consultative, and communications skills, strong judgment.
  • Ability to work effectively with team members and with clients.
  • Self-motivated, with ability to manage and follow up on multiple tasks simultaneously.

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, major in Computer Science or Information Technology a plus. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

PREFERRED:

  • Certification in Symantec DLP, McAfee DLP, Proofpoint, Blue Coat, or Forcepoint preferred; ability to obtain within first 6 months required.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Professional certifications (Symantec DLP Administrator, Forcepoint DATA, and/or Intel Security Certified Product Specialist—DLPe) and CompTIA Security + or equivalent strongly preferred.
