The Opportunity

nio is looking to add an experienced Quality Engineer to our rapidly growing software team. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for creating and implementing robust testing protocols to validate and harden the capabilities of the nio software platform. 

The Quality Engineer will work closely with the engineering and operations teams to identify issues and opportunities for improvement. Ideal candidates will have previous experience developing detailed test plans and documenting test results in a clear and concise manner. The candidate who fills this role will be expected to actively improve or find ways to improve our product's quality and resilience.
 

Skills Needed

• Knowledge of software testing principles, methods and processes
• Creativity in finding methods to performance test complex systems
• Experience diagnosing, reporting, tracking, and resolving software quality issues
• Experience building, documenting, and executing test case suites
• Demonstrably strong technical background, preferably with an understanding of programming concepts
• Experience with test automation and continuous integration servers like Travis or Jenkins
• Experience working on Linux systems
• Experience defining enterprise software SLAs
