As the Manager, Software QA, you will ensure the Envysion platform can meet and exceed customer expectations in performance, availability, and function.  You will develop and maintain the Software Quality program, manage offshore resources, facilitate testable designs, and automation.  You will become a subject matter expert in product functionality and roll up your sleeves to execute when things need to be moved forward. You will relentlessly protect the customer experience, drive lean principles, and reduce waste.  You will create the mechanisms and deliverables that quantitatively illustrate platform efficacy. Success in this role is characterized by enabling predictable delivery with higher customer satisfaction internally and externally.

You will:

  • Manage off-shore testing resources.
  • Facilitate coordination between development and testing resources
  • Develop and maintain test suites
  • Define and measure Quality metrics for software development, releases, and change management.
  • Be the resident subject matter expert in technologies to automate testing and validation.
  • Relentlessly pursue lean processes and eliminate waste, connecting and facilitating those who can deliver with those that need things delivered.
  • Trace issues through a cutting edge SaaS platform, develop tools to automate data collection and evaluation, and create metrics and monitoring deliverables to improve site reliability.
  • Define and maintain customer “stereotypes” and end-to-end use cases that model production platform usage and translate the models into test suites for offshore teams to execute against the platform
  • Create and drive standard operating procedures for the Engineering division
  • Maintain work intake process and the prioritization/tracking of support and provisioning activities
  • Monitor sales engineering, account management teams, and operations to detect changes in platform usage characteristics
  • Drive reduction in engineering hours fixing defects after release
  • Ensure solutions meet customer expectations
  • Ensure quality of customer delivery

 

Skills & Requirements

  • BS degree and 5+ of Software QA experience including offshore vendor management
  • Experience with Linux system administration and scripting
  • Experience with functional test automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Protractor, PostMan), performance test tools, and software qa test suite management and metrics reporting
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration Development Lifecycles and the specific Development and Testing challenges inherent to that approach
  • Experience with Release and Change Management Coordination
  • Excellent communicator and able to clearly articulate complex issues and technologies
  • Passionate about creating a fantastic customer experience
  • Great design and problem solving skills
  • Willing to take ownership of problems and see them through to resolution
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced agile environment. Requirements change quickly and our team needs to constantly adapt to moving targets.
  • Familiarity with some or all of the technical stack is preferred
    • Javascript/NodeJs, Java, C++
    • HTML5/CSS, Angular.js, Flot, D3, Bootstrap
    • Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira, Junit
    • MySql, AWS Aurora
    • CentOS, Docker, Swarm
