 As a QA Engineer, you will ensure the Envysion platform can meet and exceed customer expectations.  You will validate that customer solutions are configured on the Envysion platform are completed and are of high quality.  You will validate both the video and data aspects of the customers’ solution.  You will relentlessly protect the customer experience, create the mechanisms and deliverables to ensure every setup is flawless and develop the tooling to delivery QA validation at scale. Success in this role is characterized by ensuring every product setup meets and exceeds the customer’s expectation.

You will:

  • Validate site configuration, data integration, reporting, and video for all new customer provisioning projects
  • Re-verify customer configurations, data integration, and report results periodically for all key customers
  • Identify changes in customer install, data, and data business rules during verification and surface to customer success teams appropriately
  • Validate key customer data and reports following product releases
  • Facilitate coordination between support, configuration, and engineering to validate the definition of customer expectations and resolve issues with the solution
  • Define and measure Quality metrics for customer configurations
  • Be a subject matter expert in configuration options and abilities
  • Define and maintain customer “stereotypes” and test plans.  Classify the type of each customer and apply the appropriate test plan
  • Report on the quality of each customer provisioning project and the trend across projects

Skills & Requirements

  • 2+ years programming experience, including at least 2+ of Quality Assurance experience and background
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting data integrations
  • Experience creating and maintaining test cases and test suites (per customer and customer stereo-type)
  • Experience automating test execution and results reporting (create data sets automation, create assertion scripts, participate in test harness evolution)
  • Strong SQL skills (MySQL stored procedures, large multi-level queries, data profiling/analysis)
  • Experience with Linux system administration and scripting in bash and/or javascript
  • Understanding of data warehouses (general data models, star schemas, roll-ups, aggregations, data semantics and data lineage)
  • Experience interacting with support and development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Experience with issue tracking and bug reporting including issue documentation and reproduction steps
