Product Manager

CommercialTribe is a social learning platform that enables sales reps to teach and learn from one another. Headquartered in Denver, we’re a proven start-up that has passed the initial product development phase. We’re currently working with several brand-name enterprise customers that have validated our market opportunity. Now we’re beginning to scale.

We are seeking a Product Manager to join our growing Product Team in building and enhancing our multi-product enterprise SaaS product line.

What you’ll be doing:

Be a part of the creation of a revolutionary approach to sales training as an integral part of the Product Team. As the epicenter of the company, you’ll be working with UX Designers, Product Management, Customer Success, Sales and our Development Team as we scale multiple B2B products targeting the tumultuous sales industry.

Documentation is a must – we are building something new here, and we expect to track the details and changes. Your primary responsibility will be to report to the Product Manager and Design Team to ensure that technical specifications are up to date and reflect the development work that is being done. You will work with the Product Manager to scope development and define upcoming releases, and ensure that specifications are clear, concise and fully-developed. You will help facilitate feedback and product ideas coming from the commercial side, and ensure that it gets translated into quality, actionable data points for the Product Team.

Product Documentation and Tactical Duties – 80%

  • Help arm the Product Team with detailed documentation and data collected from interactions with internal Sales, Customer Success, and Development organizations
  • Create clear, concise, and thorough technical specifications to accompany comps/mock-ups and wireframes prior to development cycle
  • Continuously take notes as we iterate through design process: update specs, review specs, update JIRA, create new JIRA tickets as needed to keep development flowing
  • Help prioritize daily tasks for Product Team to create balance and efficiency
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance team to ensure release theme and scope is upheld during release testing
  • When there is a roadblock in development or testing, be part of the solution to overcome and maintain development schedule

Product Strategy – 20%

  • Assist the Product Manager in maintaining strategic roadmap across multiple B2B products
  • Grow the team and your position by gaining product knowledge that is both functionally and philosophically aligned with product roadmap
  • Be willing to work with our technology leaders to be positioned as a thought leader
  • Be part of building our Product Team accountability by aligning to business objectives (both internal and external stakeholders)

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills to maintain multiple ongoing projects
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks from a large to-do list
  • Communication, writing, and presentation skills
  • Very proactive and self-directed
  • Team oriented, with desire to collectively determine the best answer to any problem
  • 3+ years experience in burgeoning tech industry, specifically in product development or project management
  • Knowledge of both Back End and Front End development process and how to define requirements between teams
  • Experience working with developers, answering questions, clarifying specifications, documenting decisions
  • Start-up experience a major plus
  • Experience in JIRA or other development management tools

Bonuses:

  • Experience in Enterprise SaaS
  • Mobile application exposure, whether in management or otherwise
  • Exposure to data analytics, or wielding utilization metrics for any SaaS application
  • Appreciation and understanding of UX Design principles as applied to an Enterprise SaaS company
