BE PART OF THE CONNECTION
You lead, maintain, and enhance critical systems across the Spectrum Enterprise Datacenter/Private Cloud environment. You possess an in-depth knowledge of technical and design skills that you use to improve Datacenter teams and advise team leaders. You collaborate with multiple cross-functional technical teams in person and digitally in an office environment.
HOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Design, monitor, enhance and troubleshoot systems in the Spectrum Enterprise Datacenter.
Improve logic difficulties and documentation through a detailed analysis and revision of existing programs.
Maintain system design standards through rigorous testing and review.
Ensure that all technical integration, changes, standards and documentation is accurate through technical support.
Mentor and guide technical teams to develop architecture and operational standards in the Spectrum Enterprise Datacenter environment.
Mitigate risks by adhering to industry-specific local, state and federal regulations.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM ENTERPRISE
Required qualifications

Experience: Ten or more years of engineering and project management experience.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Technical skills: Knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, fiber, multi-mode, single-mode, UTP cable, bridging, switching, routing, Ethernet and transport technologies and protocols; Understanding of network design, network architecture, protocols, network topology, TCP/IP and the OSI model; Familiar with ticketing and software tools, network devices and network appliances; Proficient in network designing software and Microsoft Office.
Skills: English communication skills.
Abilities: Able to perform duties in a very fast-paced environment and learn new technology quickly.

Preferred qualifications

Expert level knowledge of Linux
Experience architecting, designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining Kubernetes environments.
Experience with OpenShift.
Knowledge of Cloud Management Platforms.
Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining OpenStack environments.
Networking knowledge to include routing, switching, BGP, data center fabrics, EVPN-VXLAN, spine-leaf
Load Balancing, experience with F5 Big IP preferred.
Experience with software defined storage preferred.
Proficiency with shell scripting and a familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Ruby

The pay for this position has a salary range of

Bryant Bonds’ team’s roadmap consists of many exciting initiatives. But one in particular excites him most: defining a common set of standards for Charter’s backend API services across its many platforms. “We hope to consolidate our services in order to make them easily consumable by our web, mobile and TV-OS applications,” Bonds said. "Once developers are up to speed on the new architecture, it will allow us to develop new services in a shorter timeframe and get new product features out to customers faster." It’ll also make it easier for developers to learn and be productive on varying code bases.

Keith Neubert always feels pride for his team, but there’s no greater example than the success of the Spectrum News App. His team started the build a few months before the pandemic started. His team was able to launch the app in July 2020, and it’s been a hit ever since, with more than 2 million downloads and counting.
