The network administrator provides the technical and administrative leadership necessary to maintain internal and cloud based infrastructure and applications.  This is done in a mixed environment with various types of hardware, operating systems, and application types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include achieving positive results in the following key areas:

• Understand and demonstrate the principles of AUTOPAY’s Mission, Vision and Values.
  
• Maintain security and performance of production and development environments with an emphasis on active monitoring and documentation.
  
• Manage both internal and cloud based infrastructure.
  
• Direct and review third party service providers.
  
• Prioritize issues and implement resolution plans quickly without oversight.
  
• Backup the system administrator as needed and during periods of high demand.
  
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/system administration, or equivalent experience required.
  
• Technical skills and experience required:
  
• Experience with managing private and public clouds, AWS, VMWare.
• Expert in Linux administration. Familiar with Ubuntu, Centos and other Linux Flavors.
• Able to support Apache or Nginx web hosted applications and sites.
• Understanding and troubleshooting experience with RDS and MongoDB.
• Able to create and implement backup and replication strategies.
• Knowledge of service-oriented architectures and deployment.
• Strong knowledge in troubleshooting network issues by using various open source tools.
• Knowledge in common security measures for hardening of OS and Network layers.
• Experience with Python, Java, or other programming languages.
• Experience with configuration management frameworks.
• Experience with metrics, log aggregation, and monitoring using Nagios or similar.
• Knowledge in CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT, SVN and automated solutions.
• Knowledge or experience with AD.
• Knowledge or experience with Open LDAP.
• Knowledge or experience with Windows Server.
• Knowledge or experience with Windows Exchange.
• Certifications and/or documented knowledge of Windows and/or Linux administration.
  
• Must have experience in Microsoft Office, be dependable and detailed-oriented, and have excellent organization and communication skills.
