As our Lead Copywriter, you’ll help activate the voice that will inspire a generation of makers. If you’re a creative type, this is an extraordinary opportunity to build a brand that is, literally, all about creating. If you’re not a creative type, feel free to move on. 
 
Our Lead Copywriter will join an awesome crew of writers, designers and marketers, helping to drive Craftsy forward through outstanding branded creative work.
 
Here’s what you’ll do in a typical day: 
  • Play a lead role in activating brand voice and personality across a variety of digital and physical channels 
  • Mentor and/or manage other writers to help the team grow in creative excellence and brand marketing savvy
  • Enjoy leftover cake from a photo shoot
  • Excel in a blended role requiring both creative concepting and tactical execution 
  • Work closely with Design in pursuit of holistically optimized creative solutions
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships in order to act as a steward of the brand and a champion of creative thinking at Craftsy
  • Work comfortably with business data and consumer insights to inform creative strategy
  • Admire your co-workers’ fabulous crafting achievements
 
Here’s what you’ll bring to the role: 
  • 3 or more years of agency or in-house experience building a successful brand voice and personality
  • Ability to translate business objectives into creative concepts, and creative concepts into outstanding execution
  • A sense of humor
  • Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly in partnership with Design 
  • Ability to effectively execute against multiple simultaneous activities and campaigns
  • High skills in both providing creative leadership where needed, and taking creative direction where appropriate 
  • An adventurous spirit  and high energy level: readiness to embrace rapid change and constant challenge in an extremely fast-paced organization
