ThinkTank is a small group of people who are committed to improving the way groups and businesses collaborate. Our product is a real time engagement tool that helps groups determine strategy, set direction, and transform their businesses. We're startup-like, but we've been around for a while. All of our Product and Development people are located in our downtown Denver headquarters, two blocks from Union Station. We're a tight group of makers, creators and coders that get to wear lots of hats and try to stay laser focused on delivering high quality software every day.
Our Tech:
ThinkTank runs on AWS with our application wrapped with Docker. It’s traditional Java web application built with GWT, using JQuery and Knockout.
Where You Fit In:
We’re looking for Java Engineers in the Denver area to join our team! We need someone who is comfortable in both front and back end pieces. You're right for this role if you love working on real-time web applications and REST APIs. You’ll own the full lifecycle of any features in the existing application. This is a full-time position in Denver. Local applicants only as relocation will not be offered.
About You:
You have technical expertise with containers, real-time web apps, REST APIs, GWT, and JavaScript frameworks. You're most comfortable in code, but don't feel lost diving into other areas. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS is a huge plus.
What we need:
· You have least 5 years of software development experience
· You are a strong backend developer with modern Java (spring boot)
· You have REST Service development experience
· Real-time web development experience (socket.io) is a plus
· You have experience with containers (Docker preferred)
· You possess strong written and verbal communication skills
What would set you apart from the rest:
· Modern JavaScript MVC or MVVM development experience (Angular is a plus)
· Experience with multiple real-time web technologies (websockets, socket.io, Firebase, Meteor)
· Experience scaling REST and/or real-time web applications
· You are an active or contributing member of an Open Source community
