Craftsy is looking for an Interactive & Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team. As Designer, you will transform a project from the seed of an idea to a beautiful well-executed, and impactful design. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of creative projects including banners, mini-sites, email campaigns, and social media graphics. You will also take the lead on article and interest pages within our site—optimizing for SEO while reinforcing Craftsy’s unique point of view and aesthetic to reach, capture, and engage our audience of passionate enthusiasts. Please note, a compelling portfolio showcasing your best high-concept work is required. We will not consider applications without a linked or attached portfolio.
As our Interactive & Graphic Designer you will:
- Strategically and creatively design immersive site experiences and digital marketing collateral in alignment with our business outcomes and customers for the purposes of engaging new buyers, increasing sales, generating revenue.
- Create marketing collateral: web banners, landing pages, carousel galleries, emails and social media graphics bringing the Craftsy brand to life through visually engaging design
- Optimize marketing channels: Google banners, Facebook ads, site banners, email designs, print
- Lead the conceptual creation, design and execution of creative assets with Craftsy creative team including photo art direction, social media content, class title card design, marketing deliverables, photo retouching and color correction.
- Design and construct seamless Craftsy experiences across multiple platforms demonstrating an ability and interest in representing and evolving our brand.
- Using conceptual design fundamentals, deliver versatile and adaptive design of high-concept class content to target unique demographics and represent class content accordingly.
- Seek ways to improve Marketing performance through continuous design iteration and optimization for Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Your background and experience should include but is not necessarily limited to:
- 3-5 years proven success working in relevant graphic design content, platforms and projects, especially for a consumer-oriented company.
- Education (e.g. BA in Graphic Arts/Design or Multimedia Design), certifications, publications, etc. aligned to support your ability to contribute to Craftsy.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe CS5 (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Bridge) and other code editors. Versed in Photoshop retouching with an eye for composition, lighting, and color.
- Experience coding with HTML, CSS, and transforming files from psd to HTML.
- Experience designing responsive desktop, mobile and tablet layouts.
- Experience in digital photography, specifically color correcting and retouching.
- Expertise in typography, specifically its balance and interaction within broader design.
