HomeAdvisor is the leading online marketplace that connects homeowners with screened and rated contractors in their area. As an Email/Web Designer for us, you will be part of our dynamic Creative team, which is made up of passionate and engaged folks that work in a collaborative and autonomous environment. You will work very closely with the Email Marketing team to design and code the emails that go to our homeowners and pros, building their awareness of HomeAdvisor and our services. Additionally, you'll work with the larger marketing organization to create landing pages for other marketing campaigns, and to keep our WordPress pages updated.
We need someone who is self-reliant and self-motivated in a fast-paced, ever-evolving atmosphere. If you're confident in your design and coding skills, and this sounds like your dream job, we want to hear from you.
How you'll spend your day:
- Web Design - Create designs for email and landing pages for our marketing campaigns.
- Coding - Write code for implementation of the designs created by the creative team, particularly through third party tools like Responsys, LiveBall, and our own internal HomeAdvisor tools. Must be comfortable and experienced with HTML/CSS and WordPress.
- Multi-tasking - Work on multiple projects simultaneously, troubleshoot obstacles, and provide outstanding communication to cross-functional teams throughout the design and development cycle.
What we think it takes to be successful here:
- 3+ years of experience with the web design and development
- Excellent HTML, CSS, and WordPress skills
- Experience coding emails that function in many different email clients is a plus
- Expertise with designing in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly dynamic work environment
- BA/BS preferred
