Summary:

Do you want to build great software? Our next Director Development will serve as leader, manager, mentor, and lead architect to our product development and QA teams. You will organize and grow the team while leading the transition to a highly scalable, cloud-based architecture.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·         Work in partnership with Product Management to build software that’s world class in usability, quality, and performance.

·         Lead strategic technology decisions about architecture and development of our software.

·         Plan, direct, and schedule our Development and QA efforts to meet scope, quality, and timeline goals; allocate projects, products, and resources.

·         Hire, coach, and review managers, developers, and QA engineers; ensure that every team member understands their roles, goals, and career paths; continually review needs for skills development.

·         Support sales as a technical subject matter expert and our chief technologist.

·         Track and report the team’s progress and performance on a regular basis.

 Skills & Experience Required

·         10+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years in enterprise software.

·         7+ years in executive level software development management & leadership roles.

·         Track record of building high-performance software development teams.

·         Leadership experience in the design and development of enterprise SaaS/Cloud applications; Strong understanding of hosting infrastructure and platforms.

·         Proven track record of delivering projects on time, on scope, and on quality targets.

·         Proven ability to build great relationships and work cross-functionally with Product Management, Professional Services, Support, Marketing and Sales.

·         Effective leader with exceptional interpersonal & communication skills and strong experience with staff development.

Skills & Experience Desired

·         Experience with mobile-responsive web-based applications and mobile apps.

·         Skills in the full stack of modern web development on an enterprise development platform with a strong preference for Microsoft and .NET technologies.

·         MS in Computer Science.
