This Denver based role will offer you the opportunity to join a fun and talented FP&A team as a senior leader. You will be able to make an immediate impact at a very exciting time for the organization. Reporting to the Senior Director of FP&A, this role will oversee and build out a team to manage the Corporate FP&A activities.  The four key responsibilities of the role will be to oversee the operation and enhancement of the enterprise financial planning model, drive the consolidated long-range planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, guide the management reporting function, and act as the lead business partner for the leaders of the G&A departments. In this highly visible role, you will have the unique opportunity to work closely with the C Suite and have a large impact on our ability to create shareholder value.

What You’ll Do

Enterprise Financial Model

  • Oversee the maintenance and own the output of the company’s consolidated operating and long range financial models.
  • Create goals, roadmaps, calendars and processes to drive continual improvement in the accuracy and the timeliness of the forward looking view of the business (P&L/CF/BS).
  • Lead the team, from a project management perspective, in continual technical and systematic improvements of the Enterprise Financial Model (Anaplan).  Understand the system landscape, business processes, and requirements of key stakeholders in order to optimally leverage Anaplan throughout the organization.

Planning & Forecasting Cycles

  • Plan and drive the execution of the enterprise planning and forecasting cycles to ensure sophisticated and integrated operating plans that ensure alignment of resources to enterprise objectives. 

Management Reporting

  • Act as the key storyteller of the company’s financial performance by distilling large amounts of complex data into succinct and actionable insights and action recommendations.
  • Partner with the broader FP&A team to prepare presentations for key stakeholders that succinctly summarize key trends and observations of the company’s overall performance.
  • Partner closely with Investor Relations, Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting to help ensure all external reporting activities are completed accurately and efficiently despite tight timeframes.

Serve as Business Partner to Various Functions

  • Work closely with the leaders of the G&A departments (HR, IT, Finance, Legal, Office Operations) to provide them a broad level of support in both financial management and business optimization.
  • Assist those G&A leaders in building their annual plan as well as support them in their ongoing operation of the plans via monthly variance analysis and reforecasting.
  • Work closely with the Chief People Officer in workforce planning, compensation design and analytics, and provide insights in benefits strategy design.
About You
  • 13+ years of progressive financial management experience at a top tier firm. 7+ years of experience directly in an FP&A department.
  • Experience within a publicly traded company, investment bank, and/or a high growth technology company (Software especially) is highly preferred.
  • Must have a broad knowledge of various budgeting methodologies and philosophies with first-hand experience developing and implementing an effective budget/forecast process that secures management buy-in and drives alignment and business participation across multi-organizations
  • Expert level financial modeling skills, with specific experience building and operating an enterprise planning tool (Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, Hyperion, Cognos, etc).
  • Solid understanding of GAAP principles which will allow you to accurately forecast how future events will impact our financial statements.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills, with a key ability to craft narratives that explain complex business issues and drive alignment across a company’s leadership team.
  • Enthusiasm for developing a team and demonstrated past success of moving direct reports forward in their careers.
  • Intellectually curious, with a thoughtful approach. Evidence of demonstrable problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills; strategic and creative thinking along with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Has a strong ability to influence; challenges the status quo and can drive to a desired future state.
  • Service oriented individual who has a natural desire to serve and to help others to be more successful.
  • Strong project management skills. Ability to plan a project timeline that supports strict deadlines along with the ability to get others to buy in and adhere to that plan.
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance/Accounting with MBA strongly preferred.
