Director of Analytics
Full-time
The Director of Analytics will partner with the marketing and senior management teams by leveraging advanced statistical techniques and predictive analytics to inform strategic thought and decisions, and to deliver actionable information that leads to greater effectiveness both in company ad spending and customer acquisition, conversion and retention.
The Director will provide a clear, strategic vision for their department, will oversee other analytics staffers, will take a proactive approach to influencing business strategy through data findings, will establish meaningful and easy-to-consume reporting that informs other departments, and will present regularly to key stakeholders within the company.
What You'll Do:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all phases of the company’s analytic work
    • Analyze and improve the company's customer acquisition, conversion and retention strategies, including providing key insights into customer lead value and journey creation
    • Validate and test key hypotheses and prediction logic used to determine ROI for advertising spend and customer conversion
    • Develop usable reporting and lead regular meetings to advise senior management on analytics trends
    • Evaluate current and recommend new data management and reporting/visualization solutions and initiatives
    • Conduct site testing and optimization in conjunction with the website manager
    • Manage a team of analysts on multiple concurrent projects
    • Align the analytics operation to the overall business strategy and monitor product and marketing changes that affect business operations
About You:
    • 10+ years of experience with statistical modeling, data mining, and advanced segmentation, using large databases
    • Proven experience influencing business or marketing strategies through the use of advanced statistical techniques and data-driven solutions
    • Ability to work with various forms of structured and unstructured data sets, including transactional, behavioral, survey research, social media, competitive landscape analysis, etc.
    • Ability to develop relationships with other departments and effectively prioritize and manage concurrent requests from different stakeholders
    • Ability to present to senior management with a clarity of language and visuals that will inform non-technical staffers
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, open environment
    • Experience in SQL, R, Python or related language
    • Experience with Chartio or other data reporting tools
    • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools
    • BS/BA required; Graduate degree preferred
    • Prior experience managing a team preferred
