Green Chef is a fast-growing startup looking for someone with drive and passion for food and customer delight to join our team.  We’re looking for a Customer Insights Manager because we love learning about what makes our customers happy, and we love getting better at things. A successful Customer Insights Manager will help build out the collection of feedback from customers in various forms, will know how to understand and convey the results, and will make actionable recommendations about product innovation, marketing campaigns, and branding.

Responsibilities
    • Assess the role of customer and consumer insights to answer the company’s big questions. Identify themes and stakeholders, and go find a solution
    • Design and execute the best research solutions (given the  variety of business questions) while considering budget, timing and existing knowledge.  May require  scrappy methods (or imperfect tools), in-depth quantitative research, qualitative immersions, and vendor management.
    • Integrate qualitative data with core customer lifetime value metrics, and partner with BI team to make collecting customer insights more scalable and integrated.
    • Influence product, R&D, and marketing strategy by uncovering what is most important (and least important) to new, existing and long-time consumers.
    • Turn insights into stories that include actionable business recommendations.
    • Lead the measurement and analysis of the brand funnel, loyalty and consumer sentiment.
    • Bridge communication gaps, coordinate different priorities, and help teams rally around insights.
    • Integrate with Customer Service to be the combined voice of the customer in all aspects of the business.

Requirements
    • 5+ years of experience in research and insights (with 2+ years on the client side)
    • Analytical problem-solver with strong quantitative background
    • Expert in designing and executing qualitative in-market research immersions
    • Experience evaluating, selecting, and managing vendors
    • Ability to evaluate and prioritize multiple projects against each other
    • Flexibility in a fast-paced, undefined environment, and propensity to roll up your sleeves and get stuff done
    • Enjoys presenting to large groups of various functions and seniority
    • Team Player and effective interpersonal communicator with the ability to collaborate and influence
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written 
    • Proficiency in Excel required; proficiency in analytics tools like SQL / Postgres preferred but not required
