Wayin, a social media tech start-up, is looking for a Content Manager to join our fast-growing team. This position will develop content themes/topics for traditional and non-traditional marketing campaigns as well as execute plans to develop the content into various assets to support Wayin’s marketing efforts. This role will also ensure all content is consistent in terms of style, quality, tone of voice and optimized for search and user experience across all channels of content distribution. Strong communications skills are essential to serve in this role. We are looking for someone who is always learning, and who can simplify complex ideas for broader consumption. Our ideal Content Marketing Manager candidate: a skilled writer who can take high-level concepts, translate those concepts into purpose-driven assets like thought leadership whitepapers or eBooks and then repackage them further for web content, editorial contributions and snackable content assets. Responsibilities • Develop content that supports and extends marketing initiatives, both short- and long-form, across efforts ranging from awareness and thought leadership to lead generation • Oversee content marketing strategies that employ creating compelling content and efficiently packaging in different formats for maximum impact • Concept and develop creative themes and positioning for content that both interests and educates • Integrate content activities into traditional marketing campaigns and channels • Create and maintain a functional content calendar • Establish workflows for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content. • Be an arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style • Provide overall support to the Wayin Marketing Department Experience • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations or related field • 3-5 years experience • Strong writing skills demonstrated via blog posts and other written work • Entrepreneurial thinking and the ability to act effectively with only high-level direction is also essential • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team • Audience development and engagement strategy experience a plus • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite for creating or manipulating content design is a plus • Experience conceiving infographics and writing video or audio scripts is a plus • Working knowledge of HTML and experience with popular content management systems is also a plus
