Responsibilities:
- Design and implement complete solution from a proof of concept to a robust high-volume production application
- Develop prototypes quickly
- Estimate level of effort and complexity
- Lead development teams using an iterative methodology
- Perform peer code reviews
- Learn new technologies as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study
- Minimum 6 years of hands on experience with Java technologies
- Mastery of Object Oriented Design principles
- Mastery of fundamentals of iterative development
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills through a variety of activities, including leading or mentoring technical staff and consistently delivering high quality work
- Spring Framework (Dependency Injection, Spring MVC, Transaction Management)
- ORM experience with JPA or Hibernate
- Have a strong understanding of, and significant practical experience with Java web application development, middle-tier integration frameworks and designing relational data models
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous consulting experience
- Practical experience with any NoSQL database (HBase, Mongo, CouchDB, Neo4J, etc.)
- Alternate JVM languages (Groovy/Grails, Scala, etc.)
