I'm a novice snowboarder. A beginner. A newbie. So I need all the practice I can get or my seven year old will tease me nonstop.
So I was excited when a friend asked me to meet three entrepreneurs starting a new co-working space called ELEVATE just a few miles from the ski meccas of Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper, and Vail -- in the quaint alpine town of Frisco, Colorado at 9,100 ft. elevation.
I've started a few co-working spaces and a tech accelerator so I know how popular they are. But Frisco is a small mountain town. Can it really support a co-working space?

Colorado has some of the best skiing in the world but if you don't plan your trip just right you end up in some of the worst traffic.
Due to its special location, ELEVATE offers skiers a way to avoid the traffic by giving them a professional place to work so they can adjust their arrival and departure times and avoid the traffic completely.
So on Monday when everyone heads to the office with sore backs from traffic Sunday night, you can ski Monday morning, work at ELEVATE all afternoon, and skip all the traffic.

The space features wifi, shared printer, conference room, hot desks, private offices, cafe, patio -- in 3,000 square feet with vaulted ceilings and amazing views of the mountains.
For a low monthly fee you also get workshops, evening meetups, and even ski meetups. And ELEVATE is negotiating discounts on equipment and lift tickets for members.

Doors open October 1 in time for the ski season.
They're looking for speakers on topics including the lean startup method, finance, fundraising, sales and marketing, etc. Also they're seeking winter/mountain sports and apparel sponsors interested in reaching the snow/mountain sports consumers and entrepreneurs.
