Women Who Startup taking over YouTube

For those in the Colorado region, it's easy to attend a local Basecamp event hosted by Women Who Startup every month. But as we grow nationally and globally into 2018 it's mission critical that people anywhere can experience a little more from our community - which is on fire.

Women Who Startup started as an 'accident', during Denver Startup Week's second year in 2013 and I had coined an event called Women in Tech and was informed a few weeks before DSW that there was a conflicting event with the same name - by the incredible NCWIT no less. And I was like "oh sh*t, I better change that because I love those folks and I guess as a newbie I better change my event's name". And I did, that same afternoon I coined "Women Who Startup" as an event during the second DSW.

That was the beginning of the brand, the organization, the community, the now social movement. I had started working on shining a spotlight on women in business in January 2013 with a couple of colleagues. Since September 2013 when I coined the event I kicked off what is now a social enterprise company and A learning platform for a global community of Female Entrepreneurs and Innovators.

Over 3 years in and we're connecting women across the country, enabling women anywhere in the world to start their own local Basecamp monthly event series and chapters and soon we're launching our learning platform (2017). There is a ton in the works.

That's why I started our YouTube channel not too long ago so that people anywhere in the world could experience the stories of the Founders I interview and also now get a first hand behind-the-scenes experience as I run around Colorado's startup and innovation communities and beyond with my new vlog. Yes, you should invite me to your events/ companies/ speaking engagements - you may just end up in an upcoming vlog.

Go subscribe to our Women Who Startup channel on YouTube today, stay tuned, feel free to engage with us there and I'll see you at an upcoming event.
