Job Duties and Responsibilities
Seeking an Atlassian Administrator (Senior Engineer) to support the implementation of Jira across our enterprise. This role will provide strategic direction based on experience and expertise working in a large-scale, multi organization enterprise. The ideal candidate is a technical person who can balance day-to-day operations with larger project work and has significant experience in Atlassian's product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Own all administrative functions associated with workflows, automation, custom fields, schemes, permissions, add-ons, and integrations
  • Ensure system availability of Atlassian tools based on defined SLAs
  • Collaborate with Engineers, Change Management, and Release Management for integration with the CI/CD stack
  • Develop metrics-based dashboards based on user requirements to provide development teams and senior leadership with actionable operational / performance status reports
  • Optimize installation and support of plug-ins and integrations to minimize downtime and maximize functionality in accordance with enterprise roadmap
  • Adhere to Jira best practices and maintain consistency across all instances
  • Collaborate with partners requesting Atlassian changes to provide creative solutions for process problems that align with Jira standard methodologies in high growth environments
  • On-board teams and individuals into the Atlassian Tool Set
  • Create, manage and support Atlassian REST API for users to automate manual processes, implement business processes and extract data for reporting and analytics purposes
  • Proactively plan and implement upgrades for the project management platforms
  • Manage system access and permissions configurations to ensure compliance and enforce best practices
  • Partner with other departments to coordinate infrastructure maintenance and system migrations
  • Serve as internal SME for the Atlassian Tool Set


Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience with with Jira, Service Desk, and Confluence Admin Interfaces and able to perform administration tasks.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical level experience with Jira searches, JQL, reporting capabilities, dashboards, and add-ons that expand their functionality, and workflows
  • Provide creative solutions for process problems that align with Jira standard methodologies in high-growth environments while advocating for process efficiency and consistency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Conceptual and practical understanding of Agile frameworks including Scrum and Kanban
  • Able to work independently and be a self-starter and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Preference for those who have worked with global teams and third-party vendors / contractors
  • Applicable JIRA certification(s) is a plus (E.g. ACP-120,ACP-620)

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $158,070.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
