Today, Trueffect’s Board of Directors announces the appointment of Dave Hinton as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Hinton has been a part of the Trueffect team since 2012, serving various roles as a member of the Board of Directors, an investor, as well as a senior advisor.

For over 25 years, Hinton has pioneered data-driven digital marketing and advertising solutions.  He has held a variety of senior positions including COO and Co-Founder of aCerno, a behavioral targeting ad network that utilized first-party data and predictive analytics to drive incremental sales for performance advertisers.

Following aCerno’s acquisition by Akamai Technologies, Hinton served as Vice President of Advertising Decision Solutions, and led Akamai’s foray into the digital advertising space.  In addition, Dave held a variety of senior roles at Microsoft, including global oversight of direct-response advertising for MSN.

“Having worked with Dave for more than 12 years in a number of strategic ventures, I know he’s uniquely qualified to lead Trueffect to sustained long-term growth, said Carlos Sala, Chairman of the Board. “His deep expertise in the digital marketing space, and his commitment to client service and product excellence clearly makes him the best person to lead our outstanding team.”

Sala also assumes a new role at Trueffect as Executive Chairman, providing ongoing support to Hinton as the company continues to shape its strategic direction.

“I’m thrilled to lead Trueffect’s continued growth as an industry-leading technology platform that enables advertisers to protect and maximize the power of their most valuable asset – their first party data, Hinton said. “It’s our highest priority to provide our customers and partners the ability to harness this asset across the digital ecosystem to drive precision and efficiency in their marketing efforts.”

Hinton succeeds Alex Yoder, who served as CEO for the last two years and has decided to pursue an opportunity outside the company.

“Alex’s many contributions during his time at Trueffect have resulted in the development of a unique product offering, and a world-class team.  We wish Alex success in his new endeavors,”  Sala said.
