Arrow Electronics is looking for energetic and enthusiastic individuals that work well in a fast-paced warehouse in Louisville, KY.
This position operates 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday – Friday. Overtime work, to include Saturday, can be regular and is required based on business goals.
As a Logistics Services Associate Manager, you will be required to excel in the areas of quality, quantity, teamwork, and work habits. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Promotes safety and a safe work environment
- Partner with leadership, internal and external, to drive efficient processes and meet business goals
- Computer Hardware Experience (working knowledge of computer components, computer repair and troubleshooting)
- Handle several incoming escalations properly and follow up in a timely manner
- Ensure a consistent and timely completion of all activities
- Own the development, maintenance and revision of reverse logistics processes, templates, and Standard operating procedures
- Emphasize a Lean mindset throughout the workplace
- Manage vendor operations to meet all metrics
- Identify issues, dependencies, and key decision points in the process and engage with internal and/or external partners to resolve
- Ability to manage personnel - hiring, developing, workflow scheduling and resource allocation for more than one department/functional area and/or technical production within a business group. Strategic planning and process improvement within the operations
- Ensures performance of department goals, including allocation of headcount and process improvements to analyze and improve efficiency
- Responsible for performance efficiency, time worked, quality reporting and improvement, performance metrics. Works with manager to determine courses of action for budgetary responsibility
- Trains and acts as an informal mentor to team leads and employees. Assists all team members in developing the technical skills necessary to make informed decisions
- Seek and Facilitate improvements and enhancements from the team
- Solve problems at their root using effective root cause analysis techniques
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-5 years related experience
- Must demonstrate the ability to manage people and processes
- Must possess strong communication skill both verbal and written
- Must possess well developed leadership and organizational skills
- Must be project oriented and have the ability to follow through on long term goals
- Have a desire to be in customer-oriented environment
- Ability to handle multi-tasking
- Ability to excel in fast paced environment and a high degree of dependability and integrity
- MS Office proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Operations / Logistics Management
- Working knowledge of material handling equipment
- Warehouse Management System experience
- Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean concepts, 5S, Visual Management
- Ability to easily interpret and use statistics in day-to-day decision-making
- Project management concepts/principles
- Root Cause Analysis, Pareto and flow charts
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX
- Evaluating processes to optimize product handling, product flow and layouts
