About the Role
Riot Data Centers (a Riot Platforms company) is looking for a Vice President, Procurement to join our team in Denver. The VP leads strategic sourcing, supply chain management, and vendor governance for Riot Data Centers (RDC). Reporting to the Chief Data Center Officer, this leader is responsible for developing and executing long-term procurement strategies that align with RDC’s growth, operational efficiency, and capital planning objectives. The VP will oversee procurement of critical equipment, professional services, and major MEP systems, ensuring commercial value, supply continuity, and world-class supplier performance.


This position will be based in our Denver office. Relocation assistance available.



What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end procurement for critical equipment, construction, and professional services.
  • Develop long-term sourcing strategies, supplier partnerships, and governance programs that enable scalability and performance.
  • Oversee OFCI equipment planning, vendor negotiations, and contract execution to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with Design, Construction, Operations, and Finance teams to align procurement with capital planning and business growth.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing procurement team, fostering accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.


What You’ll Bring

  • 15+ years of procurement experience within data center, telecom, or mission-critical infrastructure industries, including 5+ years in senior leadership.
  • Expertise managing large-scale OFCI spend ($1B+ cumulative) and negotiating complex contracts and supplier agreements.
  • Deep knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems (switchgear, UPS, generators, chillers, CRAH/CRAC, transformers, etc.).
  • Proven experience building vendor management frameworks and driving measurable cost, delivery, and quality outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or supply chain certifications (CPSM, MCIPS) preferred.

Compensation and Benefits 

  • Competitive Salary: $210,000 - $250,000 (commensurate with experience) + bonus + sign-on equity grant.
